Bangalore Runners – Applause 2012 ( 1st Apr 2012)

It is maiden event by Bangalore runners group. It is running community with collection of different nationality, different state, different language speaking people and different category running people. It is mixed group however ultimately every runners have a common hobby which is “Long Run”.

Our organization members told about the event few weeks before event. I had very less interest. Later I understood the core interest and idea. Commit members informed about objects and aim of the function via face book, NRC and RFL .They called nominations for different category best runners. I registered for my participation.

Event is held in Taj vivanta Hotel, MG Road. Around 350 members were participated. Function started with registration and followed program scheduled list. Ashok gave the welcome speech, introduction and object. One of our running members has done a program anchoring. His anchoring kept the program energetic and more enjoyable. Prize distribution and entertainment activists happened alternatively. Salsa dance was very attractive.

Group dance by Bangalore also very attractive. Around 10 different organizations gave lot of prizes based luck drawn in audience. As human nature I also expected some luck draw prize. Finally I got luck draw prize. That prize from “Life is calling”. It is running fee sponsorship for Mysore Dhasara Half Marathon, which going to happen in Oct. it was so happy. I checked my running fitness using one of stall. Goodie bag distributed for every participant. It made with paper bag.

Total event was very informative and colorful. I enjoyed event with same hobby people. My applause to event coordinators.
